If you notice this detail on the leaves, these may be the reasons.
The spider plant is also a very common plant in the home because it is easy to cultivate and is best known for its long, pointed leaves.
One of the most common problems is when the tips of the leaves begin to dry out and consequently turn brown. This can happen for various reasons .
Let’s see what they are and how to fix them.
- Stress: If you have just purchased a spider plant or have drastically changed the environment it is in, the plant may be affected. In these cases it is a natural process, after a few days of acclimatization the plant heals itself.
- Water: When it comes to giving the spider plant water, it’s important to find the right balance. Too much or too little water can affect your health. For this reason, it is important to choose well-drained soil and only water when you notice that the soil is completely dry.
- Fluoride: It is a component that is very common in tap water and is not suitable for the spider plant. For this reason, prefer distilled water when watering.
- Temperature: The spider plant is a plant that adapts very easily to the interior and its ideal temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees. When temperatures rise, for example in summer, the spider plant’s leaves begin to dry out. In such cases, place the plant in a bright place, but not in direct sunlight. Also spray water regularly on the leaves to keep them hydrated.
- Fertilizers: Fertilizers are beneficial for plants as they provide important nutrients. However, in the case of the spider plant, you do not need high doses: prefer organic and natural fertilizers, provided every 3 months.
