This man had a brilliant idea to plant tomatoes in the garden using a plastic bucket

If you have little space in your garden and want to plant tomatoes in a simple and above all original way, rely on the advice of James Bryan, who on the Home Talk blog posted the easy procedure that we can all implement in our outdoor space to make it grow  in luxuriant tomato plants during the hottest seasons of the year . It may seem strange, but all it takes is having an old plastic rubbish bin at home! via:

First, James positioned  the plastic bin of approximately 40-50 liters of capacity  in the center, and made small holes in its surface; the first row was made at the bottom of the barrel, the second about 25 centimeters from the bottom itself. After that, James literally buried the plastic bin in the ground  up to the second row of small holes , so about 25 centimeters from the bottom of the bin.

Around the bin,  he composted the soil well  to ensure that 4 tomato plants grew luxuriantly in the coming months; all he needed was to regularly water the plants in a completely original way. In fact, James filled the plastic bin every two days, trying not to wet the leaves so as not to damage them.

Bear in mind that  tomato plants need a lot of hydration , high temperatures and little rainfall, so pay attention to the amount of water you give them!

In less than a month and a half, and following this method,  James Bryan’s four tomato plants have grown over two meters  and are already loaded with green tomatoes and abundant flowers! However, if you have a much smaller space outside your home, you can always use a smaller plastic bucket and plant two tomatoes instead of four, taking care to water them at least twice a week.
