The latter, in fact, reduces the level of humidity inside the cabin, offering more comfort to the driver and making driving easier in the event of rain or snow. And that’s not all, because by using your car’s air conditioning and at the same time activating air recirculation, you can heat your vehicle’s cabin more quickly, especially when it is occupied by several passengers. In fact, when this function is activated, the air expelled comes from inside the vehicle and not from outside, which allows it to be recycled. Located on the dashboard, not far from the ventilation controls, the air recirculation button is easily recognizable by its pictogram, which is usually represented by three arrows that rotate on themselves or by an arrow that circulates inside the vehicle. Furthermore, the main function of this button is to prevent polluted air from entering the passenger compartment. Therefore, it is advisable to activate it in the event of a traffic jam, when crossing a tunnel, a dusty road or a very polluted area. For good reason, the abuse of air recycling leads to the accumulation of CO₂, since the air that circulates inside the vehicle is not renewed. A situation that could cause several problems, thus increasing the risk of an accident, namely: Condensation on the windows; Risk of drowsiness when driving; Reduced concentration and reflexes.
