The solution, which fights all lichens and harmful fungi in the orchard!

Spring whitewashing or pruning of fruit and decorative trees is not only a beautification procedure, but above all a method of protecting their bark. The composition, which we propose to use for whitewashing trees, contains fungicides (they prevent the appearance of mosses and lichens on the bark of trees) and washable exterior paints (they prevent lime from washing away during spring rains). It is resistant and protects trees from mosses, lichens, fungi, parasites and their larvae!

YOU NEED:

-500 ml of washable paint for exteriors (you can use washable paint for interiors, but with latex, to better attach to the bark of trees);

-500 ml of water (+ for dilution);

-a spoonful of ferrous sulphate;

-about 5 tablespoons of lime.

METHOD:

1. Dissolve the ferrous sulphate in water, mixing thoroughly.

2.Then add the lime. Mix very well. You need to get a khaki solution.

3. Add the iron sulfate and lime solution to the washable paint. Mix. It should result in a thick composition with the consistency of thick cream.

4. Before use, dilute the mixture with water so that it becomes slightly more liquid (like liquid cream or ordinary washable paint) and can be easily applied to tree bark.

5. Apply the mixture to the bark of trees in your garden: on the stem and at the base of the main branches. After drying, it becomes yellowish-white. You will notice how all lichens, fungi and parasites will be destroyed immediately.

6. This solution is also suitable for processing wounds on trees: for example, after cutting branches.

If the stems of trees are not whitened every year, their bark is attacked by various fungi and parasites, which cause it to crack. As a result, in later years these cracks are gateways for all kinds of harmful insects and fungi. That’s why we recommend taking care of the trees in your orchard or yard!

Happy gardening!
