The carrot loves fertile, well-dug soil. Proceed as follows:
1.Cu 10-12 days before sowing, place the carrot seeds in a cloth and tie it in the shape of a large bowl.
2. Then bury the cloth in moist soil – to a depth of 25-30 cm (very important!). During this time, the essential oils will evaporate from the seeds, preventing them from germinating.
3. After these 10-12 days, dig the cloth with the seeds from the ground. The seeds will already be swollen, large, almost sprouted.
4.Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle with regular starch. This way they no longer stick to your fingers and, consequently, they will see well on dark, damp terrain.
5.If the soil is dry, then before sowing it is necessary to water it (row, on which you will plant the seeds). After the water has penetrated the soil, carefully place the seeds on the prepared rows, observing the optimal distance between them, and cover them with dry earth (!).
6. Carrots sprout within 3-5 days of planting: without additional watering, as this will create a crust from the soil above the seeds and they will have difficulty breaking it.
Ready! You have finished the work and you will no longer have to worry until the plants sprout: there is no need to water them, because otherwise the carrots will grow short and tasteless.
