Go Hop, no more problems, no more unnecessary expenses and no more wasted energy. Among these tips, you will inevitably find the definitive solution to get rid of those annoying odors!

One thing is for sure: none of these tips will save you from the tedious task of cleaning the bathroom and toilet. As you know, this domestic task is unavoidable. Ideally, the room should be maintained daily and thoroughly cleaned once or twice a week. However, to eliminate bad odors, these products are very effective and have nothing to envy of the chemical products you are used to. The difference is that most of these ingredients are natural, ecological and economical!

Bathroom: the key to keeping it fragrant
Before describing the different existing options for making the bathroom fragrant, it is important to consider some aspects.

The most important is to ventilate the room regularly and correctly, opening the window if present or using an extractor.
The presence of unpleasant odors is a characteristic of the bathroom. Although aromas may be applied, the result will never be optimal without sufficient ventilation.
In other words, aromas only increase the bad odors already present. It is a vicious circle that must be avoided as much as possible.
Toilet paper impregnated with essential oils
For this first piece of advice, we propose a very simple idea, but which can be very promising. Just pour a few drops of essential oil into toilet paper. Choose fruity flavors such as lemon or orange, or even a mixture of the two. In this way the bathroom will take on a delicate citrus scent. Repeat the process regularly to hide bad odors and keep the room fresh.

homemade air freshener
Of course, you can also prepare a homemade air freshener with selected ingredients to eliminate annoying bathroom odors.

Take a 0.5 liter spray bottle. Mix 1 teaspoon of dish soap, 1 teaspoon of ethyl alcohol, 10 drops of pine essential oil, 5 drops of peppermint essential oil and distilled water. Pour the mixture into the bottle, shake well and spray the toilet bowl 4 or 5 times. You will immediately notice that strong odors have completely disappeared.

scented toilet brush
A clever tip: pour a little scented detergent into the toilet brush. Let the scent penetrate well and clean the toilet bowl with the toothbrush. The same principle applies and you will immediately notice that the scent is there!

Smell the bin
It goes without saying, but it is obviously necessary to empty the bathroom waste bin every day. Otherwise it quickly fills with dirt of various types: it is not surprising that odors remain in the room.

Once emptied and clean, it would be advisable to perfume it: mix 2 cups of sodium bicarbonate, 6-8 tablespoons of water and essential oils to taste. Pour everything into silicone ice cubes and leave to dry for 24 hours. The use of sodium bicarbonate is not negligible: this powerful detergent has excellent disinfectant and deodorizing properties. In combination with the other ingredients, it eliminates all bad odors quickly and effectively.

Decorative air freshener
This is a good idea! Have you ever put potpourri in the bathroom or near the toilet? It’s a great help. Aside from the fact that they don’t last forever, if you don’t change them regularly, their effect will be completely useless. Here’s another alternative to try: take a small empty vase, sprinkle it with a dose of deodorant pearls and place an artificial flower on top. This will give a nice decorative touch to the room and perfume the entire environment. And don’t forget to take a look every now and then to see if the fragrance is still alive.
