Once you take a look, you will notice that the area is completely clean and free of limescale stains. Then flush the toilet. You will find that most of the work is already done. It’s best to leave the salt on overnight, then its cleaning effect will be much more effective.
Do you have a problem with old, often clogged drains? That probably explains the unpleasant smell. Pour a glass of salt into the toilet every day for a week. To avoid this, we recommend that you pour 1 tablespoon of salt into the toilet once a month.
The salt can also be poured down the bathroom drain if it is clogged. Pour a bowl of boiling water and a handful of salt down the drain. This mixture should never be used to clean porcelain tiles as it could damage this material.
