Room plants beautify our lives and create a welcoming atmosphere in our homes and offices. Therefore, we must provide them with proper care, so that they continue to have fun with us!
Garlic is a wonderful plant with multiple uses. To help houseplants overwinter more easily and grow stronger, we tried using garlic water. I conducted the experiment on 2 Spathiphyllum plants: one I watered and sprinkled with garlic water, and the other I watered with regular water and simply sprinkled with garlic water. Let’s see together how garlic water helps fight diseases, parasites (it is very effective against whitefly) and increase plant immunity!
YOU NEED:
-2 cloves of garlic (with the peel);
-1 liter of water;
-a jar or other container with a lid;
-a colander;
-a container equipped with a sprayer.
METHOD:
1.Peel the garlic and chop it finely with a knife.
2.Add the finely chopped garlic and its peels to a liter of cold water. Mix.
3.Cover the solution with a lid and leave it to infuse for 24 hours.
4.Then strain it and transfer it to another jar or plastic bottle. As you can see, after infusion it becomes slightly cloudy.
5. Water and sprinkle the leaves of the plants with garlic water.
So, these are the 2 Spathiphyllum, which participated in our experiment:
We watered and sprinkled garlic water on the left one, which is alone in the pot, without a mattress (Soleirolia soleirolii). The other plant was just sprayed with that solution. As a result, the plant watered with garlic water became healthier, its leaves stopped turning yellow, and all the black flies around it disappeared. That’s why we started treating all houseplants with this solution and we have to tell you that the orchids reacted more spectacularly than the others. We recommend garlic water for caring for plants in your room!
Good work!
