Sometimes not all conditions necessary for growing seedlings are met. Maybe the acidity of the soil is not suitable, perhaps the temperature or other factors are not suitable. The “hot sowing” method allows you to grow healthy, quality plants in the shortest possible time.
Pepper seeds should not be sown before mid-March. And this is only the first difference compared to similar sowing methods. The seeds are planted later, but the harvest is harvested earlier. You can use this method as an experiment and see which pepper bushes bear the best fruit.
Before sowing seeds, prepare a teapot of boiling water. Pour all the hot water from it onto the soil, after which immediately plant the seeds of peppers (there is no need to soak them). Plant them 5mm deep – you don’t need more depth, they will germinate harder. Then put the container with the soil and planted seeds in a dark place and, as possible, cover it with something. Sunlight should not fall on the ground at all.
In 3 days the shoots will begin to sprout. In one week all plants will germinate (100%). Over the course of 10 days, water the seedlings with iodized water: this excellently stimulates the growth of the peppers. Furthermore, it protects plants from diseases. A glass of water heated to 60-70°C and 2 drops of iodine are enough. Water the seedlings with that solution.
At the beginning of May the seedlings will flower and you will most likely transplant them when they have small peppers. The harvest can be harvested around the beginning of July. Peppers planted with other methods will still be green, unlike those planted with the “hot” method. This is what a wonderful method we have given you. Use it!
Happy gardening!
