A great way to grow tomato seedlings (without thinning and stretching)!

Tomatoes are the most important crop in many gardens. That is why today we will talk about sowing tomato seeds to obtain seedlings. We want to propose a relatively new, but very effective method. Tomato seedlings grow 2 times faster, because they have more space and light. Be sure to try this method, because strong and healthy seedlings are a guarantee of a rich harvest. Just the fertile garden is every gardener’s dream!

You should also know that you can sow different varieties of tomatoes in the same container without ruining them!

YOU NEED:

-a plastic container, with a large surface and a depth of at least 5 cm;

-Universal substrate;

-Toilet paper;

-tomato seeds;

-backwater.

METHOD:

1.Fill the container with soil, but not completely: 2-3 cm of its height should remain free. Beat it well with the palms of your hands so that it does not sag after being wet with water. Before that, do not forget to make drainage holes in the bottom.

2.If you want to sow seeds of different varieties of tomatoes, number the edge of the container with a permanent marker: the distance between the numbers should be about 2 cm.

3.Cut the toilet paper into strips 1cm wide and the same length as the width of the plastic container. Place them on the surface of the substrate next to the figures, i.e. leaving 2 cm free between them.

The toilet paper will separate the tomato varieties. Furthermore, it absorbs humidity well and keeps it at the root level of the seedlings for a long time.

4.Arrange the tomato seeds in rows, between the strips of toilet paper, leaving 3cm of space between them. You also need to arrange them in the “chessboard”, that is, the suits in the second row must be placed parallel to the empty spaces in the first row, etc. Therefore, during growth, the seedlings will not compete for water and light.

In a rectangular container, measuring 15 x 30 cm, we managed to sow 48 tomato seeds.

5.Press the seeds of the hair in the sun, as long as you avoid deflating them. Take the respective substrate layer.

6.Then add a layer of about 1 cm of sol to the bottom. If you sow the roses, you should start by planting them first (optimum seedlings, so that the seedlings planted are about 1-2 cm) and then you want to grow them, transform them into fruit and nuts (to avoid deforming them).

7.Udați bine substratul.

8. Place the container with the planted seeds in a dark, warm place until the first sprouts appear (usually they sprout in 5-7 days). Then transfer it to the light (on the windowsill or under the lamps).

9.The next stage will be pruning, that is, the seedlings should be cared for as usual.

Happy gardening!
